Photo Exhibition: The Museum of Cham Sculpture – 100 Years of Establishment and Development
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Museum’s grand opening and first exhibition (1919–2019), the Museum of Cham Sculpture proudly presents a documentary photo collection highlighting key milestones across its century-long journey of establishment and development. The exhibition is organized chronologically by theme, featuring: artifacts collected by the French and placed in Tourane Park (Da Nang) prior to the construction of the Museum in 1915; images of the original building, exhibition halls, artifact storage, visitors, and transportation/conservation methods from 1916 to 1935; as well as the Museum’s renovation and expansion phases in 1935–1936, 2002–2009, and 2016–2017.
Additionally, the exhibition highlights the Museum’s core professional activities, including Acquisition, Conservation, Restoration, Exhibition, Education, Communications, Promotion, and International Cooperation. It also showcases visits by international delegates during the APEC 2017 Summit, heads of state—such as the Presidents of India and Singapore, and the King of Cambodia—alongside leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State.
Featuring over 250 selected photographs, this exhibition offers a vivid testament to the 100-year history of establishment and development of the Museum of Cham Sculpture.
